Decision makers spend hours exporting spreadsheets, reconciling numbers, and waiting for IT teams to build custom views. By the time insights reach the leadership table, the data is often outdated, and opportunities to optimize stock levels, pricing, or supplier performance have already passed. Small and mid-sized retailers feel this gap most acutely, since they rarely have the budget for enterprise-grade business intelligence tools.

SmartShelf is a real-time ERP analytics dashboard that turns complex business data into clear, actionable insights through an intuitive interface. The platform connects directly to ERP data sources and surfaces key metrics like revenue trends, inventory turnover, top-selling SKUs, and supplier performance in a single unified view. Interactive charts, smart filters, and role-based views let founders, operations managers, and store leads drill into the numbers that matter to them without writing a single query. Built with a modern tech stack focused on speed and responsiveness, SmartShelf delivers live dashboards that update as transactions happen, giving teams the confidence to act on current data rather than last week's reports.
Challenge :
The biggest challenge was designing a dashboard that could handle large, constantly changing datasets without sacrificing performance or clarity. Rendering thousands of data points in real time required careful optimization of API calls, caching strategies, and chart components. Another challenge was information hierarchy: ERP data is broad and deeply interconnected, so structuring the UI in a way that felt simple to a non-technical user while still exposing advanced analytics took several rounds of user testing and iteration. Finally, ensuring cross-device responsiveness, from large desktop monitors in back offices to tablets on the shop floor, pushed me to rethink layout patterns and typography for every breakpoint.
